JOB SUMMARY FOR SYSTEM INTEGERATION ENGINEER (CAN):
- The Software Integration Engineer (SIE) is responsible for the integration and high-level testing of vehicle electronic control systems on New/Major/Mid-Cycle electric drivetrain development programs.
- This includes the serial data interfaces, software functionality and diagnostics.
- A high level of independent judgment and initiative is required. The SIE may exercise technical direction over other engineers or engineering support personnel and may have work direction responsibilities over a group with specific engineering objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR VEHICLE INTEGRATION ENGINEER:
- Leads and executes bench-level Design Integration Testing (DIT) of software releases prior to vehicle builds and rides in order to identify and resolve significant software integration issues.
- Support pre-production and production build activities and vehicle ride trips as required
- Monitor End of Line Test results during vehicle launch and assist in investigation of issues.
JOB EXPERIENCE FOR VEHICLE INTEGRATION ENGINEER:
- Familiarity with validation methods for serial communication and diagnostics
- Ability to understand technical specifications and relate them to testing conditions at the bench and system / vehicle level
- Writing and/or updating test procedures and reports as required
- Preparing and Managing project plans both at the day-to-day level and longer term planning/scheduling
- Set-up and execution of test scenarios per prescribed test procedures with appropriate data logging and interpretation of results
- Analysing and documenting data from tests and identifying issues
- Ability to root cause serial data/ECU issues to narrow focus from the general to the specific
- Communication, coordination, and consulting with engineering departments and customers

QUALIFICATION: BE / B.TECH OR ME / M.TECH (ECE)
